Evidence has grown over recent years, that practising yoga results in measurable health benefits. These include improvements to flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, blood pressure, immune function and feelings of wellbeing.

Therapeutic yoga is suitable for people with many health conditions. Students with the following health problems have found the classes particularly helpful- MS, ME,  Parkinsons, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Fatigue, arthritic conditions, those recovering from cancer, anxiety, panic, depression, & injuries. Common health problems such as  high blood pressure, diabetes and back conditions also benefit. Therapeutic yoga is mindful of limitations, and active stretches are interspersed with a return to relaxation.

However, a wide variety of students attend the classes, some without a health concern, and there is a broad mix of ability. Students are able to participate at the level that suits their needs.
